It is also extremely collectible for many reasons (movement, metal combination, and the only Chinese tribute watch). This is a beautiful interplay of multi-polished steel case and solid rose gold. The finishing of the watch is exquisite (alternate between matte, high-polish and brushed finish) and requires many hours of labors by skilled AP craft-men. These different types of finishing create a “play of light” effect when you examine the watch from different angles. The watch is even more visually stunning because of the tasteful placement of solid rose gold. The 18K rose gold is placed on the bezel, markers, hands, crown and links of the bracelet. Power reserve at 2 positions, date at 6 positions, moon-phase at 9 and central sweeping second hand – this is the only Royal Oak that has this movement design.
